A restaurant that answers WhatsApp in thirty seconds
Reservations, specials and supplier orders handled by four small Agents from the Restaurant project template, with the owner approving anything that costs money.
· 6 min read
A twenty-table restaurant in Jakarta took reservations by WhatsApp, planned specials on a whiteboard and ordered from suppliers by memory. The Restaurant template gave them four Agents and a team chat on day one.
Reservations
The reservations Agent is connected to the restaurant's WhatsApp number as its own bot. It confirms bookings, manages the waitlist in Google Sheets, puts each table on the Google Calendar and sends reminders the day before.
Specials and suppliers
The menu Agent plans the week's specials from current stock with costing and prep notes. The suppliers Agent turns par levels into order lists and checks deliveries against orders. Both post into the team chat where the owner reads along.
Reviews
The reviews Agent drafts warm, specific replies to each review and escalates complaints about safety or staff to the owner. Replies are approved before they go out.
Why this fits a small business
There is no monthly fee for the Agents and no per-message bill. The owner bought one mini server, which we host, and talks to the Agents the way they talk to staff: in a chat.
Takeaways
- Four Agents from one template, live in an afternoon.
- WhatsApp replies are confirmed by the Agent, purchases by the owner.
- One purchase, no metering.
